Dog ownership is a lifetime commitment. It can be one of the most rewarding or stressful experiences one can navigate depending on the circumstance. Adopting my rescue pups Oli &#x26; Stevie has been one of the most gratifying experiences of my life. My name is Kaitlin and I created Second Nature Dog Training to assist in positive reinforcement training, shelter dog adoption assistance, puppy rearing advice, and dog walking.

Not sure how to find your new best friend? My family and I have been wanting to adopt a rescue dog for many years, but were always unsure if we were ready or even how to go deciding on which pet would be best to add to our happy home. Kaitlin was instrumental in helping us find our Mr. Dog and helping Ace find his forever home! Kaitlin is specially trained and passionate about making sure pets are matched to the right homes. 

Kaitlin was honest and insightful with her questions and made us be very deliberate in deciding which pet (size, breed, energy level) would be best for our home. Kaitlin helped us by setting up adoption appointments, shadowing our first walk with Ace, and helping us set up our home to welcome Ace in a safe and healthy manner. Since we brought Ace home, Kaitlin has helped equip and prepare us to train Ace, identify trusted resources for walking and boarding, as well as the day-to-day demands and realities of pet ownership.

Pet adoption and enrichment can be overwhelming, but we were successful because we relied on Kaitlin for her love for and understanding of rescue animals, her empathy for those that are sick or injured and abandoned, and her honest feedback to ensure a perfect match!
